 Eduard Zetsche (1844-1927)

Born 1844 in Vienna, Eduard Zetsche was a bankier and studied the technic of watercolor under Robert Ruß and Emil Jakob. In the years from 1874 to 1879 he was a student at the Wiener Akademie under his teacher E.Peithner-Lichtenfels. From 1879 to 1881 he studied in Düsseldorf under E. Drücker. 1881 he moved back to Vienna and became a member of the Wiener Künstlerhaus. The themes of his paintings were basically landscapes of the the surroundings of Vienna and Northern Germany. The artist died 1927 in Vienna.
