Johannes Grützke (1937- 2017))
Born September 30, 1937, in Berlin, German painter, draftsman, printmaker, and engraver. He studied from 1957 to 1964 at the Academy of Fine Arts (Berlin), first with Hans Orlowski and then as a master student of Peter Janssen.
Grützke taught 1976/1977 as a guest lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, 1987, he returned, this time as a lecturer in the footsteps of his former teacher, Oskar Kokoschka, back at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg. From 1992 to 2002 he was a professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg.
